Instructions for Installing Holddown Brackets

The holddown pin must be inserted into the center of each side of the bottomrail. Use a mallet or hammer, the pin will burr in. The blind will not tilt properly if the pin is not centered correctly.

The holddown bracket is installed into the door or wall behind the bottomrail. The bracket should extend out to meet the holddown pin. Install the holddown bracket close enough to the bottomrail so that the holddown pin is caught in it’s designated space/hole on the holddown bracket.

For 2-1/2” ShutterBlinds—Place the holddown pin 1/4” closer to the back of the bottomrail. The headrail and bottomrail are only 2”, while the slats are 2-1/2”; requiring you to use 1/4” spacer blocks behind the headrail so that the blind will hang straight. Therefore, adjust the holddown pins 1/4” from the center towards the back of the bottomrail.
