Award Winning Design: Our Patent Pending design won two awards at the International Window Covering Expo in April, 2000; WMCA Best Style award for a specialty shape and Rising Star award for most innovative new product.
The factory deducts 1/2" from your actual window measurements so that each custom built arch fits into irregular shaped windows. In most cases the arch overlaps the window opening by approximately 1 3/8" so that most imperfect and irregular windows are covered easily.
The outer frame is 3 1/4" wide and 5/8" thick with a classic decorative routed edge on all sides except the bottom edge which has predrilled mounting holes that are covered by a matching valance.
The inner frame has perfectly proportioned sunburst spacing that allows a wood blind slat to be tenoned in the front and to pivot fully closed in both directions.
The slats are held in place with a spring that provides tension so that the slats remain in any position desired.
Unique to our design is light stops at both ends of the slats that prevent direct sunlight and help to soften the light entering the sunburst. Once again, this feature is unique; no other arch can make this claim. A valance with 3/4" returns wraps the arch and blind head rail making the arch and blind appear as one coordinated piece. Mounting is simple and easy.
The arch rests on the blind below and is attached with two screws and finishing nails.
